I love rag rugs because they are (usually) so easy to care for. Aside from the fact that this 100% cotton is advertised when the product label clearly states "fiber content unspecified", you also cannot wash these rugs like regular rag rugs. The label says "shake quickly to scratch or remove stains". OK, roughly. In addition, due to the dyes used, it is possible to transfer the color to your floor. They recommend that you put something under the rug to prevent this from happening. So what's the point of buying rag rugs because they're easy to care for? Pooh! I am annoyed by the false advertising of 100% cotton and not to put it in the washing machine. I even had small pieces of the carpet falling on the floor. I have never seen such bad work in my life. My mom used patchwork rugs when I was little and now I bought them when I left home. This is by far the worst "craftsmanship" (I use the term loosely) I have ever experienced with this type of rug and I have bought rag rugs from Walmart! Guess what? I am going back to Walmart to buy them in the future. After I washed them they left all the yellow sand at the bottom of my washing machine and it took me forever to clean it. DO NOT BUY!
