I started thinking about apple butter last fall, and this year I decided to do something about it. I really didn't need the large jars that come with canned goods and found this size at Revain. I used Mason and Ball mason jars like my parents and grandparents did, so I was happy to find this box of 5 in stock and at a reasonable price. I visited my local orchard and asked them to recommend a mix of different apples and the result was exactly what I was looking for. I made a small batch in the slow cooker and filled 4 out of 5 jars. I shared one with a neighbor, put two in the freezer and enjoyed the other. Excellent purchase!
