I bought this disc after a previous purchase was completely disappointing. I've had this for a few weeks now and it's a much better product than what I got before. This has continued to work and burned probably a dozen or more DVDs reliably, which was the main reason I needed an optical drive (backup). My previous purchase stopped working after just a few days. This drive has a much better tray mechanism and overall feels like a much more durable device, while still being a slim model and extremely portable. DVD plays well too. The only downside was the loud grinding noise the device made when it was first plugged into the laptop, but that seemed like a one-time thing. For the price, this is a great performance and a great deal.
