Works great on MacBook Air!

and another one a bit cheaper. I saved this item and reconfigured the other. This item worked with the MacBook Air to read medical images on the hard drive. I haven't used it to play movies or burn discs yet. So far it has done what I hoped it would! The carrying case it comes in is also of good quality and has a nice zipped front pocket for storing the manual and power cord. I definitely recommend this item.

Handy for computer components

I already had a CD drive but the micro USB 3 connector was problematic and the full size connector didn't seem to be available. So it has a neatly tucked away cable with USB 3 and USB Type-C connectors, so it can be used with both my USB-C-only laptop and a desktop computer, and there's no separate adapter , which you can lose. and if you need a cable, maybe a longer one, you can also use the old micro cable that's so common for phone chargers and the like. And it comes with the case. OK

Reliable unit at a good price

I bought this disc after a previous purchase was completely disappointing. I've had this for a few weeks now and it's a much better product than what I got before. This has continued to work and burned probably a dozen or more DVDs reliably, which was the main reason I needed an optical drive (backup). My previous purchase stopped working after just a few days. Only a week out of computer components

I just got my Rooful external drive so can't give it 5 stars yet. The only issue I had was the player not playing the video so I emailed Rooful and they responded fairly quickly (2-3 days) but the time difference due to location might be a factor. I got links to several players and downloaded one that was highly recommended to me and worked (5K player). The video wouldn't play on my windows 10 player so downloading the app was a bummer but it works. I will update this post with 5 stars as time…

This CD/DVD burner is easy

If you are looking for a cheap external DVD burner, this is a no-brainer. The device arrives well packaged and well padded. It rests in a well padded and attractive soft case which has external zipped pockets for storing an extra power cord etc. That's good as these are external devices that can be tucked away until needed. I installed it on an HP ENVY dv6 machine. It is very easy to install as you really just have to plug the USB into the USB port. That's all. The computer does the rest. After
