The disc on my PS3 started going crazy, couldn't read games or Blu-ray, had to reinstall the disc several times to fix it she worked . able to replace the drive with a conventional screwdriver. The washer includes a torx screwdriver. The ifixit site will help disassemble and remove the old drive. Next you need to remove the metal case and install it on a new drive. There are no instructions on the ifixit or Nextek website, but luckily it's not that hard. There are 3 screws on one side and 5 on the other. Then visit the Nextek website to learn how to remove the motherboard and install it on the new drive. The images may not match your model, but they will give you an idea of what to do. Then reverse the assembly steps and it really worked! No more hassle of removing and reinserting the drive. It took 20-30 minutes (I'm not a handy person), and there's nowhere to buy a new machine.
