Submarine is an adorable bubbler! I was positively surprised! Adorable set for a small aquarium. I have this set in our ten gallon tank which houses a few small fish and our frogs. The set arrives well packaged! A lot of bubble wrap! Until I opened the set, I didn't even know that the submarine has an air stone that can be used with your air pump. You can use it with or without the bubbler function. I think it looks really cute with bubbles and the fish have fun playing with it. I needed a T-valve (adapter) to connect my current hose to the sub. Maybe my air hose was too narrow. A new hose would probably work just fine. The photo shows what I used to connect the pipes. It is not included. Yes the set is small but the measurements are exactly as advertised. I would not use this in a tank larger than ten gallons. Probably perfect for a 3-5 gallon tank. This is perfect for frogs because they like to hide behind it and can't knock it over. Before using, I soaked them in a glass container with a fish safe water purifier to remove the chlorine from the water. There were no chips, chips or breaks. The painting is detailed and well done. The only thing I would like is the weight of the floor. They fit my little tetras and guppies. Any of our larger fish in a different aquarium could play with them. So just know your fish and your habitat. They are perfect for tetra/guppy sized fish in a 10 gallon tank or less! Use the submarine as a bubbler or just as a decoration! See photos to help you choose!
