Normal but excellent for such a price but the microphone doesn't work, when you press the microphone it makes a click and when you speak it doesn't transmit anything. That's ok, I'll cut the wire from the external speaker on the radio to the aux jack on the speaker anyway. Would have given 4 stars if it wasn't for the bad mic. The only real downside is that there are no backlit controls, but the toggle switches are backlit when on. The 2 on/off switches can switch on individual additional elements. I have one on my LEDs powered by a sho-me blinker and one that powers 4 dueling bar lights in a window.
