I was really surprised how much I loved these socks! I love good soft wool socks and usually avoid acrylic like the plague. I bet on them because I wanted nice cream colored slouchy socks. Now I love them so much that I buy my parents matching pairs for Christmas. First of all, there isn't that itchy, sweaty acrylic feel that cheap socks have - they feel so luxurious! They are beautiful, stretchy and sooooo soft. So far they have held up well to normal everyday use and machine washing (turned inside out, of course). They appear to be true to size; I usually wear women's size 8-8.5 and the medium fits well if not too tight.
