Poor Wi-Fi router - unreliable

I bought this cable modem/router to add Xfinity Voice to my home. My previous cable modem and Wi-Fi router worked fine but didn't have voice (VoIP) capability. When it arrived I set everything up, everything worked perfectly and I connected all devices. After two days, the WiFi stopped working - first the 2.4 GHz band stopped working, and then the 5G band. Then our phones stopped working. That was the last straw. I sent it back and received a new router of the same model. The second one came and I set it up like the last one and everything worked again - in about 24 hours. The second router had no problems with phone or ethernet, but had problems with WiFi - both bands also dropped intermittently. First came the 2.4GHz band, then the 5G band. The 5G group worked during the day, but half as much as originally. Then both turned back on today without changing the settings. The router MUST be reliable. This router does not exist. I'm sending this second one back for a refund and buying a replacement Netgear cable modem with VoIP and no router - half the price! I will be using my trusty Linksys Wi-Fi router again. Relying on the same gear for internet and phone service is scary, especially when I use Wi-Fi for most of my connections.
