No whistle; bad for the forgetful

Please note that I do not believe that what happened to this pot is the fault of the manufacturer or seller, I am only writing this as a warning to those prone to forgetfulness. Bought this bowl for my mom, she loves it. It worked well and looked good enough to keep on the stovetop as a decoration. However, I assumed that the pot would whistle. Most kettles will fit; I figured that was the whole point of a kettle for the whistle to notify you when it's done, otherwise you'd just use a regular kettle. But that's not the manufacturer's fault, it's my fault for not looking carefully at the reviews. The problem is my mom loves to just put the pot on the stove and do some chores or work from home on the computer while it cooks and a few days ago she completely forgot about it. She was working and he stood on the stove for over an hour without whistling to remind her, just the pot. began to melt. All the water evaporated and, having nothing left to heat, the fire attacked the cauldron. We've only had it a few weeks so it's pretty disappointing. But again, I don't blame the manufacturer, the seller or even my mother, it's my fault for not paying attention to the reviews. Don't let that stop you if you want this teapot though. It's very pretty and serves its purpose. If you don't mind that it doesn't have a whistle, this is a good pot. Just be careful if you leave it to forgetful people.
