Fixed Check Engine and other warning lights but took a while
The new fuel cap fixed the "Check Engine" and "VSC trac" indicator lights on my 3rd gen 4Runner. It took a few weeks after installation for the lights to go out as I don't drive this car far or often. I estimate that after installing it the light went out after 100 miles. Installation consisted of simply removing the old one and tightening the new one. Very easy. Better not to the dealer or workshop!
