Review on 🔪 6-inch Ceramic Nakiri Knife (Vegetable Cleaver) by Shenzhen Knives… by George Miller

Disappointment in chef knives

Disappointment because I bought almost the same 6 inch chef knife (same brand) that came in this set a year and a half ago and loved it. Being my first ceramic knife, I couldn't believe how sharp it was and loved cutting up veggies for salads and stir-fries. No brown edges on cut lettuce - a bonus! Lately it seemed like the original knife wasn't. Now that I've switched to a ceramic knife, I've thought about getting a diamond knife sharpener and instead went for this 3 piece set, my old knife at our cabin used and used the advantages of a economy and planer knife. These knives look good, feel good (very comfortable grip) and appear to be well constructed, the bottom line is that right out of the box THEY ARE NOT SHARP! At least not as sharp as my first knife. means "crush", not "cut", because tomato is boring. They handle other fruits and vegetables adequately, though certainly no better than my freshly sharpened steel knives. I don't know what may have changed in the 18 months between purchases but I will look elsewhere if I buy another ceramic knife. .
