Review on Amber 32 Pickling Fermenting Storage by Marco Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quarter size wide mouth pitchers, versatile but quite expensive.

These are spherical cans so I expect them to be high quality as expected from the brand (although as another reviewer noted they have regular unbranded lids and straps). I still kick myself for not buying the special purple Ball lenses when they first came out a few years ago because they are no longer available and now overpriced. I didn't see these amber jars at the local stores where I usually buy canned goods, so I was glad to find them here at Revain through the Vine program. I like the tint as it protects the content from light. I also love the versatility of wide mouth jars, and this quart version is the size I use most. I do canning, but not as much as I did many years ago, but I also use these jars for everything from making iced coffee and other beverages, to storing food, to using them as vases, and for crafting. The wide opening makes them easy to fill with food (and clean later). The jars were well packed to avoid damage during transportation, everything is safe and sound. The only real issue with these lenses is the price - I might expect them to be a bit more expensive than the clear lens versions I buy at the hardware store, but at $32.99 for a set of 6, they're a lot more expensive.
