I ran the ti with a power supply I already had. So far, so good. 7 ports: It worked well for about 3 weeks, then one port no longer recognized the plugged-in stick. I decided to leave it as I really only needed 5 ports. 6 ports: A few days later the other lost the will to live and unfortunately I didn't get it back at the time because I still had 5 ports available. 5 ports: The next 2 that failed made it a few days later, both on the same day. 3-Ports: These were connected in series from the end of the case farthest from the input cable. It looked like the dates were tired of having to travel all the way. :) Now I'm probably out of the return box, so in the trash can. It's $18 down the drain. YMMV.
