Review on Yakima SweetRoll Roof-Mounted Boat Loader and Carrier for Vehicles, Holds 1 Boat by Nelson Calafell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works very well! :)

I have a factory roof rack on my '99 Jeep Cherokee and they fit perfectly. I used a set of foam blocks and I had a very difficult time getting the kayak (55 lbs, Daggar Axis 12.0) onto the foam blocks. Trying to take it off was even more difficult, to the point where I couldn't do it myself anymore. Sweet buns are very good. I'm a fat, five foot, out of shape woman and now I can load a kayak into my jeep with very little effort. Previously, I couldn't detach the kayak from the foam blocks because they created so much resistance that it wouldn't budge no matter how I tugged. Now I have to keep the kayak from sliding back too quickly because the sweetrolls are doing their job by sliding off the kayak. All I have to do is lower the stern to raise the bow a little and the kayak starts to roll backwards. So beautiful! Be sure to read the instruction manual. Some of the other reviews I read clearly show that this was not the case. don't bother to read the user manual or their charging technique is wrong. The owner's manual shows how the saddles should be positioned, how to load the kayak onto the saddles, and then how to adjust them.
