Works great, ordered a second set.

Probably the best kayak pads I have ever had. I regularly (three times a week) load an 18ft kayak with them onto a Wrangler jeep. The jeep is quite tall and loading such a large kayak from the side will be problematic. Sweet buns make it easy. I liked them so much that I immediately ordered a second set for my wife's kayak. Mine are mounted on aero bars so I don't have a problem with them twisting on the bars, but I can imagine how that could happen if you had round bars and weren't tightening…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Works very well! :)

I have a factory roof rack on my '99 Jeep Cherokee and they fit perfectly. I used a set of foam blocks and I had a very difficult time getting the kayak (55 lbs, Daggar Axis 12.0) onto the foam blocks. Trying to take it off was even more difficult, to the point where I couldn't do it myself anymore. Sweet buns are very good. I'm a fat, five foot, out of shape woman and now I can load a kayak into my jeep with very little effort. Previously, I couldn't detach the kayak from the foam blocks…

They work great BUT. They don't attach well to round or square roof bars.

They do not work well with round Yakima Rails. They have a clamshell adapter for round bars. You can tighten them to your liking, but they will still rotate (it rotates very easily) when loading and transporting the kayak. I returned the Yakima round bars and bought a Thule CrossRoad kickstand, but even then I still had to put a thin rubber mat around the handlebars and then attach SweetRolls to it to keep them from spinning. The Thule handlebar is too rounded at the corners and doesn't offer a

Good . if not a great idea that didn't justify itself

That's a good idea that is far from being realized. The first release was SweetRoll. Spring . rolled on the grid. Through trial and error, I found that there was a "fault" or at least an error in one part. in the adapter for rods. Yes, I have a full-size Yakima with round handlebars. In any case, by carefully grinding about half a millimeter of the top mating parts against the hinge. allowed the clamp to compress the adapter enough to allow the tabs inside to grip the stem. The second design…
