I have had this cookware for 4.5 years now. They persevered, but last year they started to show their age. I don't leave them in a hot pan, I use them with meat, butter and at simmering temperature. As for the plastic, they met my expectations. I have never used a pasta gripper with very hot food. The other 3 went through everything. The turner (I call it a spatula) will come off the edge and I'll scrape it off to smooth it out. Both spoons have melted at the ends as well. Would buy again as they are smaller than similar products and the purple handles are still a great colour. You just have to know that plastic doesn't last forever.
