The amperage is higher than OEM!
This alternator is a perfect fit on a 2002 Camaro ls1 and has a higher amperage rating than the standard 90 amps. Remember to fully charge the battery before starting the new generator! Alternators are not designed to charge a depleted or depleted battery. It just keeps your battery's charge level up. A lot of people give bad reviews because they damaged their new alternator allowing it to charge a dead battery. Jussein.
