Review on πŸ› οΈ Precision Woodworking Marking Gauge Kit - Clarke Brothers Wheel Marking Scriber with 2 Replacement Cutters - Graduated Inch & MM Scale - Solid Metal Bar Scribe Tool for Carpenter by Salvador Taisacan

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not just bad, but sooo bad, almost funny.

Seriously? I don't expect perfection from such a cheap tool, but a ruler and dollar pen would be better. The dimensions don't even come close. This is 1/4 inch (see picture). The metric side is no better. If you just want to scratch the wood, use a knife. If you want to repeat this marking, buy a working template. In addition, the cutting disc is fixed on a screw so that it does not rotate. And you can't replace it without another screw. This "tool" is useless to me. Edit: Somehow I can't add an image. I measured with digital calipers and the distance from the edge of the cutting wheel to the 1" mark on the shaft was 0.78".

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Basically good, but...
