Works like a master even with different voltages. I am using this to power a Raspberry Pi connected to a controller. which runs on a 12 volt battery but has an internal charging circuit. Voltage ranges from 12v to nearly 14v, and in my rig I hooked it up to a drained PC power supply that was only making 11.6v. It worked like a champ. Even if the voltage suddenly drops, the Pi never sees it and never restarts. When I accidentally reversed the polarity on the input, nothing burned out, it just didn't come out on the 5V side. It was the best money I could spend and saved me dozens of hours building and testing my own solution.
