I have been very hesitant to use ink other than Canon ink. Not because of Canon's marketing, but because of the stories I've heard over the years of aftermarket cartridges damaging printers. What motivated me to take a chance was partly the reviews and partly getting fed up with Canon ink prices while working on a big project. It would be cheaper to have copies made at a stationery store. While I recognize Canon's rights to inventions, I'm also a fan of competition to motivate quality and price. I've been using these cartridges for over a year with no major problems. Several times the Canon software didn't recognize one of the cartridges, but turning the printer off and on again solved the problem. This was only two cartridges out of 30+. Not sure if the problem was with the cartridge. I suspect Canon's and other manufacturers' high ink prices are due to their tiered distribution system, which has too many tiers at each tier. make money with them. Not with EZ ink. I will continue to use them in the future.
