Review on 🔧 TEKTON 6-Point Impact Socket Set: 13-Piece, 3/8 Inch Drive (7-19 mm) - 47915 by Samuel Hansen

I am very happy with Tekton impact sockets and use them almost exclusively these days. They take a lot of abuse, have a decent chassis that isn't bulky, come with a top-notch warranty and don't usually come out as great. The reach is ok but I would have preferred the extension to 21mm over 19mm. 7, 8 and 9mm could be removed to make room for them both in terms of size and cost. In any case, I won't be working these size caps with 3/8, so I would prefer the sizes I'm going to use. You can use 8mm with an air ratchet (which often involves impact sockets) but I just don't see 7 and 9 being useful in this set. The 20 and 21mm used in some car brakes are much more useful. They are laser engraved and not stamped. This bothered me at first but after contacting Tekton support I was told that if the engraving becomes worn and illegible they will replace the socket under warranty. Tekton offers first class support and service, I would say the best I have ever experienced from a tool manufacturer. If you have any problems with your product I'm sure they will fix it all. They are CR-V metal which I found odd at first as I have always understood impact sockets and extensions have to be CR-V. MON Using these bits, I can say that my percussion tools have no abnormal wear or anvil damage, the anvils withstand severe impact without significant deformation, and do not damage the fastener. In the meantime I have also learned that it is not only the metal that makes the bushing impact resistant, but also the tempering process. I'm not sure how these sockets will compare to CR-MO sockets in a professional setting. What is interesting is what wears out faster. For me as a home user, the price of these outlets combined with the top notch support makes buying Tekton outlets a good choice.
