Perfect for my FreeNAS build. This is ECC server memory, which makes it slightly more expensive than standard desktop memory. If you have a server-class motherboard and are planning to build a NAS, you really should go for ECC storage. Otherwise you are seriously risking your data. There are many articles on Google that explain why this is the case. I didn't believe it at first but I'm glad I spent the extra money. The motherboard I used this memory on is an ASRock C2750D4I Mini ITX. I'm not sure what to attribute to this memory, but my system worked fine for me. I even use it for live transcoding with Plex and it doesn't skip a second, even with 2-3 HD streams. Please check the compatibility list for your MB before purchasing. Crucial also has a good compatibility search tool on their website.
