I have old NTSC videos that I want to convert to MP4 for archiving. I didn't want any further loss of image quality. I first bought a Matrox MX02 Mini Max which does the same but the quality was terrible. Both the composite and SVHS input messed up the overall resolution and created a soft motion blur. Everything worked perfectly on the RGB input. I remembered reading online that someone had used a scaler in an RGB encoder box, so I decided to give it a try. Today I received the Extron Electronics IN1502 dual input video scaler. I connected it to my computer's LCD monitor and I can clearly see that this will be my answer. The picture quality is impeccable! in all resolutions! I paid for my 30€ on ebay. It's the best $30
