Review on πŸ₯” Highly Rated Bellemain Stainless Steel Potato Ricer featuring 3 Interchangeable Discs for Optimal Fineness by Kimberly Peterson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Subtle riser, unfortunate butt

Subtle riser. Thought from Italy, no luck China. It's fairly well made, well riveted and feels solid. The protrusion at the end of the rice cooker allows you to place it on the pan when pressed. Looks great with a polished finish. The piston is the most loaded, it is not articulated. Consequently, when the product is pushed through the riser, the piston (which is in a fixed position with the handle) does not move vertically through the squeeze cylinder, but straight up and down. In other words, when the piston is at the top of the cylinder, the pressure plate is at an angle compared to the wear plate at the bottom. As a result, the product is pushed out of the top of the dipping plate when pressing begins. I had to constantly remove the product that was squeezing through the top and slide it back into the cylinder. I don't think the design is well thought out.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not safe
