Great vacuum power, light and PLEASURE to use!

UMLo V111 Vacuum Cleaner ReviewFirst Impression: This vacuum cleaner looks solidly built and was designed with thought and intention. It is easy to assemble, comes with lots of accessories and is easy to clean. This is my third stick vacuum and one thing the other two didn't do well was the ease of control or balance in the hand. The V111 almost seems to know which way to turn. I'm most comfortable holding it in my hand and of the three stick vacuums I like it the most. The desired rotation is performed with a simple twist of the wrist. As the vacuum is pushed forward, the head follows straight ahead. You no longer have to lift the vacuum head to get it back on track. This feature is one of the things I like the most. Another feature I like is the vacuum cleaner control head. Below this indicator is a trigger switch to turn on the vacuum. When you start the vacuum cleaner, it always starts at the lowest level. You must touch the +/- switch to change the vacuum power. When I looked at this feature, I thought it would be difficult to switch power settings while cleaning. When I first used the vacuum cleaner, I realized how easy it was. All you need is a simple touch of your thumb while cleaning. You can toggle between the settings to get the next value in the queue. To return to the lowest setting, simply turn the vacuum off and then back on with the trigger switch. You have two different ways of determining the remaining battery power. Three segment displays at top of head or % scale. The feature I like about the percentage display is that it also works while charging. It shows the current state of charge of the battery as a percentage. Important to know: The battery must remain attached to the handle for charging. The dust container door cannot be removed from the vacuum cleaner. However, the entire dust container can be removed from the vacuum cleaner. Both attachments allow the brushes to be removed for cleaning or replacement. There are four filters you need to be aware of. Two are in the dust collector and two are in the suction head. Dust Bin: Disassembling the Dust Bin: To open the dust bin for emptying, remove the metal extension tube from the vacuum cleaner. Press the indicated button to open the dust box. (See pictures) The dust box door is hinged and cannot be removed from the dust box. Use the supplied brush/hair removal tool to remove dust particles stuck in the bin. Two filters are connected to the garbage can. One is the black plastic and metal screen you see in the trash can. The other is in this black plastic piece and is a foam filter. (See pictures) Removing and disassembling the dust bin: To remove the dust bin from the suction nozzle, press the black button just above the bin. (See images) The dust box separates from the vacuum, exposing the HEPA filter in the head and the top of the dust box's filter bowl. Filter. To access the dust bag filters, remove the blue plastic filter assembly from the dust bag. You should be aware of the CUT on that blue part. The notch fits into a slot where the electrical contacts are located in the dust bin. (See pictures) To pull out the filter unit, lift the metal bracket and pull it out of the dust box. Holding the blue part of the filter in your hand, turn the black part of the filter COUNTERCLOCKWISE about 1/8 turn. . You should feel it unlock and stop. Disconnect the black hose from the blue part. In this black part you will find the FOAM filter. (See photo) I'm surprised at how much dust collects on the metal screen. Use either the supplied brush or a dust filter cleaning brush to clean both the screen and the foam filter. You can rinse these filters in cold water to clean them. Allow them to dry completely before reassembling and using them. Once the filters are clean and dry, reassembly is the reverse of disassembly. When you put the assembled filter back into the dust bin, make sure the notch lines up with the blue tab. (See images) If you are having trouble attaching the dust box to the vacuum cleaner, the most likely cause is a misaligned notch and tab. If everything is done correctly, it takes no effort to assemble them. The HEPA filter, which looks the same on both sides at first glance, only has one way of installing it in the suction head. You can see the difference between the two pictures. The final filter is located under the rear cover of the suction head and surrounds the display panel. To access this filter, press the two silver buttons on either side of the cover and slide them away from the suction nozzle. On my vacuum cleaner, this filter is blue on one side and white on the other. When installed correctly, the white side fits into the suction head and the blue side is all you should be able to see. (See Pictures) Power Vacuum Nozzle Disassembly: Large Vacuum Nozzle: You may need to either replace or clean the rotating brushes in the large or small power vacuum nozzles. It's an easy process once you know how. For a large head, turn it over and find the latch on the edge of the head. (See pictures) Pull the tab towards the back of your head to release the locking unit. Once it's free, take it off your head. (See pictures) Under this latch is a tab on the roller bearing. Note that this notch should face up and be centered in the space available. (See images) To remove the roller, pull up on this tab. To assemble the suction nozzle, reverse the disassembly process and make sure the tab is facing up and centered. Insert the stop knot and push down until it snaps into place. Gently rotate the roller to ensure it moves freely. Disassembling the small suction nozzle: Take the small suction nozzle and lay it on its side with the silver knob UP. (See images) To remove the side head cover, press the silver button while pushing down just above the button. The lid opens easily. If the cover slides, remove it to reveal the side of the head. (See pictures) To remove the roller, pull the bearing and remove it from the vacuum head. Reassemble the small head and insert a cleaned or new roller into the hole, bearing up. When replacing the side cover, the bearing must be placed in the inner circle of the side cover. Once aligned, simply push the cover under the silver button until it snaps into place. Rip Test: I wanted to see how well the V111 could capture larger than normal particles. The only thing I had on hand to mimic this was uncooked rice. I put uncooked rice on the floor to see if he would pick it up and scatter the rice. One complaint about stick vacuums is that the rotating drum spreads dust and particles on hard surfaces instead of picking them up. I hit the rice limit on low, medium and high power settings. All three settings picked up Fig. One thing I really learned from doing this is that the speed at which the head moves through the dust is really important. If you go too fast you may not get everything. Also, don't pull your head back through the dust. When you do this, the brush on the back edge of the head prevents dust from hitting the brush and leaving a dust trail. The correct direction is to push your head forward through the dust. In this way, the dust is directed to the rotating brush for collection. I did not notice that the rice crumbled with each performance. The brush rotates to draw dust under the vacuum cleaner nozzle. (See pics) Headlight: If you haven't used a vacuum with a headlight before, you're missing one of the features that I really like about this vacuum. You can see the spotlight revealing dust and dirt on the floor. I like visual confirmation that I'm cleaning my floors. (See photos) Final thoughts and ideas: Once a month I clean my bed of dust mites. I lightly spray the mattress pad with a 50/50 solution of isopropyl alcohol and water. I do it very lightly and very early in the day. Then I turn on the fan to evaporate and dry the mattress topper. Once the mattress topper is DRY, I put on a little padding and walk over the mattress topper to pull out what's inside. NEVER vacuum liquids or moisture with this vacuum cleaner. If you do this you will destroy it and void your warranty. I love the fact that I can use the extra attachments directly on the powerhead without attaching an extension tube. This means you can also vacuum in tighter spaces, e.g. B. in your car or truck. So far I find the low power setting gets most of the work I need done. I use a medium setting for babies who like to burrow into the carpet mat. If I want to shake the rug on the rug I use the high power setting. The big question is, will the V111 replace either of the other two vacuums I have? Absolutely YES, it will. It is easier to use, lighter and tracks straightness when cleaning. I like how it doesn't scatter what I'm trying to pick up. Also, it has a stronger vacuum as shown by the rice harvest test. Finally, it's easier to use and more fun. I hope this helps you with your review.
