Specifications are misleading
The DC resistance is about 10 ohms, so it draws 1.2 amps at 12V. At this voltage and current, the force is less than two newtons. It can't possibly ever have a force of 5N. It got too hot to touch. It's a mechanically good little unit, but it won't produce anything close to 5N at 300mA. It can work well for applications that require about a Newton. verne
