BRILLIANT Shield TV/Audio Integration Remote

Absolutely brilliant remote control! We've tried many other "universal" remotes to control our Shields, TVs and soundbars - from Harmony to Caavo and various no-name devices - and ended up choosing the Sofabaton U1, which while far from perfect , but for a pretty decent was standalone remote. . No dongle, hub or anything like that was required. But they were big and chunky, with way more buttons than we really needed. When those genuine Nvidia remotes are finally back in stock (on a somewhat obscure list, I have to say, but straight from Revain, ie). I decided to order a pair and see how well they work. In short, we are delighted. Small, compact, requires no external attachments or hubs and absolutely perfect control over everything we need and nothing we don't. If I could make two improvements, I'd get rid of the Netflix button (man, I hate them on remotes!) and the dedicated mute button, which seems like a glaring oversight. However, the top right menu button can be configured to control three different actions, so I only muted one of them. Few things could make me happier with this purchase.

Pros
  • Works with 2015/2017/2019 SHIELD TV models. An update to the latest version of SHIELD Experience is required.
Cons
  • Something different
