Review on Buon Vino HOZQ8-1256: Mini-Jet Filter Pads #3-10 Pack - Efficient Wine Filtration Solution by Troy Coste

I'm not 100% sure they're absolutely necessary. This definitely makes the wine more transparent than just the number 2, but by how much? Also, these things suck and waste money when I use them. I always use number 2. That goes well after a few shelves. I've never had a problem running a 5 gallon batch of wine through #2. Works perfectly. Wine looks good at the moment, but clarity could obviously be improved with #3. I had several batches filtered through a #3 filter and none of them made it through the full 5 gallon cycle even after passing Filter #2 was gone. I even had a 5 gallon batch of 6 #3 sets when only a #2 was needed. What's wrong with these filters?
