When I bought this comb I was skeptical at first. I really didn't think it would detangle hair let alone get it into any knots without breaking or snagging. Please do yourself a favor and buy this brush if you have thick curly hair. My hair is over 25 inches long and very thick, but this little comb slides right through my hair while I'm in the shower. It also helped reduce the amount of hair loss I had when I used to use a wide-toothed comb. I use this brush to pick up my curls but due to the bristle pattern it doesn't give the hair strands enough tension so I would recommend Denman instead. In any case, this is the best buy that makes hair washing more comfortable.
