It's easier to install than you think

Unscrew the old one. pull out carefully. it is connected to a hose. If necessary, cut it to fit the hose you are using and reinstall. Use some chalk to seal the outside in. It's raining, you know. and then go in and make sure the hose didn't get twisted when you reinstalled it, which is why it doesn't work.
