This kit worked right out of the box. I love that it comes with all the accessories, spares and a set of the usual o-rings for your AC system. Also included is a carrying case for everything you need to keep everything organized, but the hook and hoses must be disconnected from the gauge manifold for storage. I don't find it impractical, it just adds a little more cleanup time. The pressure gauge manifold looks and feels high quality. Pressure gauges work and can be calibrated, high/low pressure valves rotate easily with positive shut off and there is a sight glass to monitor refrigerant flow. It's dark behind the sight glass so it's not very clear when there is flow, but it's still noticeable. The kit includes manual connectors, which I really wanted because I was concerned that the quick connectors might or might not damage the high and low side ports. open them. Overall I'm very happy with the kit and actually saved money by doing it myself instead of paying a shop to do it. I used this with a 1.5cfm FJC vacuum pump.
