This great book will tell you how yarn is made, what it is made of and how to make the right decisions about whether the yarn you want to use will give you the result you want.. .You expect when it turns into clothes. The prose is well written, there are plenty of pictures to illustrate the author's point of view, and I'm pretty sure I immediately saved money when I realized the yarn I wanted to use for my summer knitting project , which would trigger knitting . Catastrophe. Instead, I learned what yarn I SHOULD use and why. I will save this link to avoid future yarn errors (actually pilot errors) and to better tailor the yarn I love to its best use. I would recommend it to anyone who knits and wants to use a different yarn than the pattern dictates.
