this is the third sketchbook I've gotten stuck on and I LOVE IT! I always had to hold onto a piece of paper to keep the markers from bleeding out, but with this book I don't have to worry about that. The marks show through but don't flow to the next page. The size I received fits perfectly in my pocket or in my uniform's cargo pocket. Will definitely be buying another one once I'm done with what I'm in right now! 6 years later. This is the only drawing book I will buy. In the army I took them on several missions and on many, many field trips. My books have been exposed to rain, snow, sand, mud, etc. The cover is quite worn but at this point I just stick a piece of vinyl over the cover before I start using the new book and it's almost indestructible (just need to keep the pages from getting wet). I love its size, it fits easily in my uniform, pocket, purse or is discreet enough to pass as a regular book when taking it to a restaurant or office.
