I bought a leather cover for Oberon magazine and didn't like the refill that came with it because it bled and bled through even when I used a very fine fountain pen. Oberon recommends this sketchbook to fountain pen users. It's affordable, I tried it. The book is slightly smaller than the magazine, which comes with an Oberon leather cover, so the fit is a bit looser. The cover is also grainier. The paper has a very light texture, similar to bond paper. Writes beautifully. No leaking or bleeding

this is the third sketchbook I've gotten stuck on and I LOVE IT! I always had to hold onto a piece of paper to keep the markers from bleeding out, but with this book I don't have to worry about that. The marks show through but don't flow to the next page. The size I received fits perfectly in my pocket or in my uniform's cargo pocket.
