I bought a leather cover for Oberon magazine and didn't like the refill that came with it because it bled and bled through even when I used a very fine fountain pen. Oberon recommends this sketchbook to fountain pen users. It's affordable, I tried it. The book is slightly smaller than the magazine, which comes with an Oberon leather cover, so the fit is a bit looser. The cover is also grainier. The paper has a very light texture, similar to bond paper. Writes beautifully. No leaking or bleeding from my fountain pen! I love it! I also like this price as most fountain pen magazines are 2-3 times more expensive than this sketchbook! If this book works well with fountain pens, it works great with gel pens and other ballpoint pens. I recommend this product for logging and other purposes.
