Review on πŸ’» Cisco-Linksys EW5HUB: Efficient Ethernet 5-port Workgroup Hub for Seamless Connectivity by Justin Gomez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent reliability justifies itself in terms of cost

Pretty cheap socket. For the price, that is. Gives good results for the price. I'm not trying too hard, but my hub is connected to a 10base-T LAN for my campus LAN, and I have three computers connected to it. Usually it handles multiple connections well, but it happens that a bad hub just can't handle it, and the collision indicator flashes insanely. However, performance is decent for my setup, but my setup is probably atypical. However, if it manages to deliver 1Mbps to a single computer very well, and about the same when three computers in the hub request data, it should have no problem handling slower data on this really good campus Ethernet connection . DSL and cable modem connections. Yes, and also in the summer it was about distributing a 56k modem connection. As if anyone was interested. he got through it with no problems. Setup is easy, but that's true of most hubs. Plug and play in the truest sense of the word. If you've configured DHCP properly, Windows shouldn't even know there's a hub there. However, Linksys products are generally very reliable, so I expect this hub to last a lot longer than I need it to.
