I bought my first Gotham Steel pan from CVS a while back and thought it was fantastic. This frying pan has not let me down and I still use it. However, I bought the set not long ago and had a terrible experience with this set. My first experience was with one of the pots, when I looked closely I saw the gold layer was peeling off. I spoke to Gotham and they replied that I had to send them a pot with a check to cover each other's shipping and handling. Today I checked all my pans and pots to see if they were peeling because I've heard that if they get in my food it can be horrible for me to accidentally eat them. About half of my pots and pans peel, at this point I think I'll put them all in and start over. Don't send them money for shipping and handling, and don't pay to ship pots and pans to get them there. This costs more than the original cost of the kit. If you buy please keep your box and Revain can help you as I threw my box in the bin they said I need to contact the seller. All in all I have to admit I still have my original pan which I bought from CVS probably a year ago and it doesn't chip at all and works perfectly. My new kit may have been a defective batch but not worth all the shipping and handling costs to have the product repaired.
