Review on Gekbot 2-Pack: Heavy Duty Aluminum Vacuum Suction Cups for πŸ”© Lifting Large Glass/Tile, Floor Gap Fixing, Dent Removing, Mirror Holding, & More! by Paul Martindale

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wonderful. Serious. Hard to remove - good

These things really hold up. I had five heavy panes of glass to fit two bathroom doors. 2 were about 45 pounds each. With them to hold on securely, we were able to safely carry each panel up and lift it onto the tub with ease. This gave us the ability to hold the glass securely when fitted into the track mounting system. This made the job so easy that two normal, not particularly muscular women could manipulate the large panels without fear. It's a lot easier to carry a tandem when one of these pups is securely attached to either side of the glass; we had to climb up together, side by side, corner and corner. If we had to hold on to the edges, it would be much more difficult. I looked at some cheap but reasonably priced ones from (sigh) Harbor Freight; They have done very well for people in their reviews. But when I looked at them in the store, they had plastic handles and I wasn't ready to trust them. They have durable aluminum handles with a textured finish for a better grip. On the other hand, their suction power was so impressive that even with the lock switched off, I had to blow air under the cups with one or the other carefully prying nail. otherwise they would not let go. This is the kind of suction that lets you move the glass safely. It is very important to have the right tools for the job; They're the right tools for moving glass and mirrors, and maybe even heavy slabs of tile, as long as they're smooth enough to ensure a good seal. I would feel safe moving the windshield.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
