I bought this to build a fractal wood stove, as I am using a 20kV transformer I needed a product with excellent insulation. Since they were made for a much larger cable, I folded the ends of my 10 AWG wire and made a washer to tighten it. Used several times and very happy with the purchase. Recommended for many applications. If I still used a welder that would be great. There were no instructions for the clamp, but if you're smart enough to operate the welder then that's no problem. The top part unscrews and the bottom part slides down to reveal the cable connector. Disassemble slowly, paying attention to the order of parts, washer and spring. Good Welding (or what your twisted mind wants them for)
