I love this product! Worth the price! Light and comfortable in the hand! **UPDATE** worked for a month. I've noticed the head starts to crack and when I tighten the handle to bite the bar it slips and the bar falls out! Only runs on 120 amps, so heat isn't the culprit.

I bought this to build a fractal wood stove, as I am using a 20kV transformer I needed a product with excellent insulation. Since they were made for a much larger cable, I folded the ends of my 10 AWG wire and made a washer to tighten it. Used several times and very happy with the purchase. Didn't see the instructions in the box but found out how it works. This grip offers a good weld angle so your wrist doesn't bend like it does when using the "clip" style. To install the hookup wire from my welder I had to completely unscrew the red knob on top. There is a spring and rod at the top, so be careful when unscrewing it. I've waited a few days before posting a review. Sent to my house the next day with a basic membership. When I opened it I noticed that the head was in two parts. I figured it wouldn't last long, needless to say it held up pretty well for the first job I did. Run a steady 150 amps through this Stinger welding some half-inch plates to mount a car trailer winch and this thing hasn't let me down.
