So they are definitely NOT waterproof. Waterproof, yes, but if water is rubbed into the material while you're sitting on it, it will get soaked. They are also too small for my seat (2014 Toyota Prius with optional bucket seats), when I get in and out of the seat the fabric comes out from under the front of the seat. it's still better than nothing (assuming the heated seats don't melt them).
