Review on Amcrest 3840X2160 Weatherproof Microphone IP8M T2669EW AI by Melvin Belton

I was in the process of replacing a kitchen door when I was told that as we had already uncovered a wall and were moving the outside light across the panel to match the new door size, Now it's time to set up a security camera to cover our side porch/yard. At first I was looking for something cheaper, thinking maybe with PTZ, but stumbled upon this camera. It had everything I was looking for except PTZ, it actually had the best features. At the moment my outdoor cameras consisted of an old Insteon 720P indoor PTZ camera mounted under the rear awning and an Amcrest doorbell on my porch. I was also a bit hesitant as I've had so many problems with my Amcrest doorbell due to power issues. So I bit the bullet and got this camera. I'll say I'm glad I did. The view and resolution made it perfect to be next to my kitchen door to see who's there, the side porch, our dog side yard and more. The view is so good that I don't need a PTZ. Actually I could buy a second one to replace the inner camera I have on the back. I like that I can access it in different ways, e.g. B. directly via the web interface, but even more via my BlueIris server for video recordings. When I added this camera to the BlueIris console it came out looking great but when I tried to view the live stream via the BlueIris web interface it was the worst video of any camera. It took me a bit of fiddling, but that was because my server was using a software transcoder to re-encode and send the video that was causing the problem. As soon as I slightly reduced the resolution on the camera and increased the bitrate limit in the Blueiris configuration, I saw a great picture in the console and in the direct web interface. All in all, this is a great camera. I even did. I was even able to use the BlueIris software to transcode the video and send it to the ChannelsDVR software on my AppleTV and FireTV as a channel to set my TV to and the picture looks just as good on my TV.
