I've bought a more convenient AC voltage tester for 1/4 the price off Amazon before. . This Fluke 1ACII should be better, it's more sensitive and I can pick up hot wires in a twisted pair power cord, which is good (compared to my previous device). However, it is annoying to use in my opinion. 1st = no flashlight in nose (Needs to sort out tight wiring in dark places, .2ed._ when 'on', nose flashes continuously which is distracting and annoying. and confuses me into thinking I'm a hot wire or have one have intermittent hot wire 3- ed. - the nose will keep blinking after use until you turn it off which is erratic, slow to respond and seems slurred 5. same for on or off you have to fiddle with the switch to be sure being that I put it on I don't have time to get distracted and play with switches for safety reasons and worry about annoying flashes when doing wiring work and only beeps near a hot wire and is quiet after that .I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT I plan to return it PS I made several purchases of a Fluke Autorange VOM ed 15 years ago for a range over $300 and they are excellent but the fast internal fuses are extremely expensive and hard to come by.
