This set is pretty decent and suitable for beginners who don't want to spend a lot of money on something they don't like. All parts, including the gloves but with the exception of the hooked knife and the wooden spoon blank, appear to be of acceptable quality. All knives are sharp except for one. The hook knife you need to carve the spoon is pretty boring and seems pretty cheap. I believe they took a straight knife and sharpened it and then curved it into a curve instead of sharpening a curved blade. There is no point in preparing a wooden spoon. It is as hard as oak or mahogany and breaks easily. Overall a good set for the money but plan
