Review on Heat Diffuser for Gas Stove or Electric Stove: Flame Guard Simmer Plate - Home-X Review by Jorge Maertz

Had one a few years ago, got lost and was lucky enough to find it on Amazon. I have a more common one with a wooden handle, but the handle chars after a few years of use. The one I bought is easy to clean and it's great that the handle folds down for less storage. I believe this one is made or sold in England and is very difficult to find here. I use this specifically when I'm making a large pot of sauce that needs to cook for at least an hour and you don't want to burn the bottom of the pot or the sauce on the bottom. When using this diffuser, I never have to rub the pan - just lather and rinse. Also suitable for anything that needs to be cooked (sauces, creamy sauces, etc.) and especially when your hob isn't as cold as you'd like. Highly recommended!
