The router worked for 3 years on the same settings without a single break and overheating, but once the WAN port burned out during a power surge in the network. I thought that everything had outlived its usefulness, but with the help of an alternative firmware from Oleg and several commands via telnet, I managed to reassign the wan port to another regular lan and now it has a second (I hope long :-)) life.
