Review on ☕️ Fino Pour Over Coffee Kettle Review: Your Ultimate 4 1/4 Cup Silver Brewer by Kyle Tran

Old Faithful, (not necessarily good)

I bought a Fino kettle to replace a previous one that didn't work with my induction hob. The kettle works as it should and feels good in your hand when pouring. The two exposed screws on the handle mentioned by the previous reviewer are missing on mine. The lid is very tight. A ridge has formed on the lid, but that doesn't help. The lid is a bit small for a pot and just sits on the kettle's neck without holding it in place. It will fall out when you pour the last drops out of the kettle. I have a large 6 cup / 1.2L model. This is confusing as the two volumes do not match. Doesn't hold 6 cups. It is box marked and has a 1.2 liter stamp. 1.2 liters is 5.07 cups. Six cups is 1.42 liters. While this only matters if you need to boil enough water for an 8-cup Chemex, if that's what you're looking for then this kettle isn't what you need. Additionally, 1.2 liters is a full capacity, not a working capacity, as it will fill the pot to the brim and attempting to boil that amount of water will result in overflow. Speaking of which, this kettle works with induction as advertised. Induction boils water very quickly and this kettle boils 4 cups of water in less than 3 minutes. But quickly boiling that much water in a cone-shaped cauldron will save you a trip to Yellowstone to see the geysers. If you don't watch and/or turn off the element right away, you have a geyser in your kitchen and may need to spend some time looking for a loose lid that was blown away during the eruption. But the quick boil means I can make 6 cups 3 cups at a time without wasting too much time in between. Not ideal, but works.
