Disappointed with the quality

The product received is not of the quality expected. I wanted a smaller kettle because I usually have two cups of coffee in the morning, grind beans and use a French press. It fit and the positive reviews convinced me to buy it. I knew it would be lighter due to the lower capacity, but honestly it's too light - even thin - and the lid rattles when lifted or moved. It rattles because it's not snug at all; it is completely loose and does not seal. If you turn it over, the lid will fall to the…

Great kettle for morning watering

Great kettle. Perfect for my needs. I chose the larger capacity (1.2L) because I usually have a hard time rinsing out the paper filter and heating the carafe and mug. The increased water volume means I don't have to worry about running out of water when watering. The kettle itself is of excellent quality, the ergonomics are top, the spout angle is perfect. I've read reports of rust and pitting. Only time will tell how the kettle will hold up to everyday use. I will update this review if I…

Ideal for dousing.

Heats up quickly to almost boiling point (200-205 degrees Fahrenheit is the ideal brewing temperature) and pours very smoothly thanks to a comfortable grip shape that keeps your hand off the cup/cone so you can watch what you drink Some reviewers commented on the small size, probably expecting a full-size kettle, but this kettle is specifically designed for pouring 1-4 cups, not boiling large amounts of water. For comparison, I took a photo next to my All-Clad kettle. Amazingly high quality for

I love it! Best of Kettles

Great little flex neck kettle that I use every day to pour coffee. I had to drill a central steam vent to mount my long stem water temp probe, but other than that it's a sturdy little kettle. I make about four cups of coffee a day in it, but depending on the recipe, six or more cups can easily be made if desired. After use, I drain all the water and put it on a hot surface. I do this to keep it from staining and so far it hasn't happened. The handle stays cool; no leaks. I highly recommend it…

Old Faithful, (not necessarily good)

I bought a Fino kettle to replace a previous one that didn't work with my induction hob. The kettle works as it should and feels good in your hand when pouring. The two exposed screws on the handle mentioned by the previous reviewer are missing on mine. The lid is very tight. A ridge has formed on the lid, but that doesn't help. The lid is a bit small for a pot and just sits on the kettle's neck without holding it in place. It will fall out when you pour the last drops out of the kettle. I have

Report after 4 months of use

I've had this for a few months so I have some longer term opinions. I paid full price at Revain. Good: It's quite easy. The handle is at an angle to the steel so fear of burns is very little of an issue. The balance in the hand when pouring slowly is also excellent. There are no build quality issues. Bad: Not noticed yet. There may be problems at some point, but for now there are no signs after a hundred or more uses. After removing it from the stove, it takes me 4 or 5 minutes to pour coffee…

Best kettle for the price.

I'm new to loose tea brewing and a quality teapot with good brewing control is a must. My old roommate had a Hario V60 Buono, 1.2L kettle but he took it with him when he left so I had to look for a replacement. I chose Fino and compare it to my experience with Hario V60. Aesthetics: Fino - Looks good, but shiny stainless steel is hard to keep clean. Hario - I definitely like the look of this teapot. I like the shape and the matte finish, but that's just personal preference. Construction: Fino -

Cool little pot!

I did an extensive review of the glass and stainless steel teapots for use with Chemex that my son gave me for my birthday (James Bond has great taste!). Glass teapots look good. Before I drank my morning coffee, I was pretty sure the glass teapot in my sink would shatter into pieces. I really wanted to give this premium Japanese kettle (one of my criteria is not having another Chinese product at home) a thumbs up. I've used a French Press and an Aeropress (and will continue to use an Aeropress
