Review on ☕️ Fino Pour Over Coffee Kettle Review: Your Ultimate 4 1/4 Cup Silver Brewer by Joe Mix

Cool little pot!

I did an extensive review of the glass and stainless steel teapots for use with Chemex that my son gave me for my birthday (James Bond has great taste!). Glass teapots look good. Before I drank my morning coffee, I was pretty sure the glass teapot in my sink would shatter into pieces. I really wanted to give this premium Japanese kettle (one of my criteria is not having another Chinese product at home) a thumbs up. I've used a French Press and an Aeropress (and will continue to use an Aeropress if I'm in a hurry, but the French Press may be for sale in my garage later this month). Chemex certainly offers the best cup. I used the "measuring cup in the microwave” technique for pouring. It worked, but not as accurately as Fino. Obviously the controlled pouring affects the brewing process and I'm by no means a coffee snob. This narrow spout kettle allows for well controlled pouring, it's attractive, very well made and although small it's definitely big enough for a couple of large cups of coffee. While it's true that it doesn't whistle, I'm still around making the filter and pouring coffee over it, so personally I don't see that as a problem. The kettle came in two days (as always with Prime). Of course, while the jug does get very hot to the touch, it's cool enough when you're done with your cup of coffee to wipe down with a towel to wipe away any remaining moisture if you're worried about rusting. In summary, I would definitely recommend this Premium Japan Kettle for its quality, performance, appeal and definitely price compared to similar products. Enjoy! 08/03/14: I have just measured the amount of water in the kettle which I have taken from the description of this product which says the capacity is 6 cups. Measuring about 1 1/2 inches from the rim (filling too full can cause water to spill out, possibly as it heats up), I measured 20 ounces - roughly two 10 ounce mugs. Keep this in mind if you need a kettle to serve more than 2 people at a time unless you are using very small cups. It should be enough for one or two people. Heats up quickly. I use it over medium heat on a gas stove. Completely satisfied!
